Re-issue of documents certifying the registration of civil status acts (Tuma municipality Dzimtsarakstu section)

Process description

1. Service requests
   In order to re-receive a document, a person, family list department, representation or the Ministry of Justice shall submit, send by post or to the official e-mail of the institution or submit an electronic document using e-services on the single portal of State and local government services in www.latvija.lv, a relevant submission.
   
   The submission shall specify:
   - the name, surname, personal identity number, address of the place of residence, contact phone or e-mail address;
   - justification for the need for re-receipt of the document;
   - depending on the type of document which needs to be re-received - the date and place of the marriage, divorce, birth, death, the place of registration and the year of the entry in the relevant register;
   - persons for whom a document is requested to be reissued, personal data and information on the person's relationship with the applicant.
   
   The birth and marriage certificate shall be issued to the person for whom the entry in the register of civil status has been made or to the person authorised by it. If the record of the civil status register does not apply to the person requesting it, but that person demonstrates his or her legal interest, a certified statement or a copy of the record of the register shall be issued to him.
   
   The right to become acquainted with the entry of the death register and to request a death certificate, a statement regarding the registration of death or a copy of the record of the death register shall be held by relatives of the deceased. Another person has the right to request and receive a statement regarding the registration of a civil status act if he or she substantiates his or her legal interest.

2. A service charge
   For the issuance of a re-registration certificate, the fee determined by the State shall be EUR 7,00, but the fee determined by the local government for the issue of a certified statement shall be EUR 4,00.

3. Receipt of services
   Upon receipt of the application, the Divisions shall enter and update the entry of the Register in the uniform register information system and shall re-issue the requested document.
